Francisco José, born in 29/12/1996, is a concert pianist and composer. Currently, he is Full Professor of Music and Performing Arts at the Conservatorio Superior de Música “Óscar Esplá” in Alicante and Doctor Cum Laude in Piano Performance Research at the Universitat Politècnica de València. His education includes Bachelor Degree in Piano, Bachelor Degree in composition at Conservatorio Superior de Música “Óscar Esplá” de Alicante (CSMA), University Master’s Degree in Academic Staff of Secondary Education and High School, Vocational Training and Language Teaching from University of Alicante (UA), Master in Solo Performance, and Master in Solo Performance of Spanish Contemporary and Modern Music from Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (CSKG) of Madrid.

He has been awarded 47 prizes nationally and internationally, 30 of which are first prizes: 1st Prize at the Infanta Cristina National Competition in Madrid (2010), 1st Prize at the “Alexander Scriabin” International Competition in Paris (2009), and, to mention another, 1st Prize at the “Mestre Josep Serrano” Piano Performance Competition for 6 years, being the first participant to win each category (junior, professional and senior) the maximum number of times.

The Revelation Award obtained at the age of 10 in the VeoVeo Awards led him to have an audience with H.M. Queen Letizia together with the VeoVeo Foundation. One of the last recognitions obtained has been to be a finalist and winner of the Popular Vote of the Young Talent Award Comunidad Valenciana organized by Caixa Bank and Levante El Mercantil Valenciano.

He has given solo recitals at the Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room, London), the Duke’s Hall (London), the Auditorium of the Russian Embassy (Paris), the Palacio de Cibeles (Madrid), the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Madrid) and the Palau de la Música (Valencia), among others. He has also performed with the Orquesta del Real Sitio in the Auditorio de Getafe and in the Auditorio Miguel Delibes of Valladolid, and in the same halls with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, as well as with the Symphonic Orchestra of the CSMA in ADDA (Auditorium of the Alicante Provincial Council); and in his native town in the Gran Teatro de Elche with the Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de Elche.

He has recorded for UMH Radio, Eurodelta Music, Jóvenes Solistas, RNE Clásica (Andante con Motto program), La Partytura program and Must Talent Festival of Intereconomia TV.

He has been studying music since he was 5 years old. He has studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Patsy Toh, at the CSKG of Madrid with Nina Kereselidze and at the Liceu Conservatory of Barcelona, among others. This has allowed him to study with great masters such as the late Dmitri Bashkirov, Jacques Rouvier, Elisso Virsaladze, Albert Atenelle, Pascal Devoyon, Matti Raekallio, Stanislav Pochekin, Grigory Gruzman, etc.

As a composer he has written numerous pieces for piano as well as for chamber and large ensembles. Among the commissions received is the Sonata premiered by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Conservatori Professional de Música de Felanitx (Mallorca). His Suite de Valses was premiered by the Symphonic Orchestra of CSMA.
